Contract Negotiating and Credentialing

Contact Insurance Companies

U. S. Billing and Contracting L.L.C. has contacts with many insurance companies both large and small. We notify the selected health care payors of the provider’s interest in their network or program. We request the appropriate applications from the payor.  Our next step requires the completion of applications with supporting documentation.

Complete Application and Credentialing

USB&C will send you a "Data Request Form" that lists information that we need for each client in order to begin the credentialing process. We use this tool to help us submit information to contracted insurance companies on a timely basis.

USB&C has a unique “Payor Information Report” that updates clients on the status of each prospective contract. The form is an excellent way of communicating with your facility or service so you will know what information is needed for each particular application and contract.
 

Negotiating Contracts

USB&C has extensive experience in negotiating the various types of contracts offered by insurance companies. Reimbursement rates are a priority with us when negotiating a Managed Care Agreement. We work with clients to determine appropriate reimbursement rates for services (including carve outs and implants). Our primary focus is to create contract language that will help insure correct reimbursements for all procedures performed by the physician and/or facility.
 

Executed Contracts

After the contracts have been successfully negotiated and signed, USB&C will send a copy of all executed contracts to the participating provider for their files and reference.
 

Recredentialing Process

Insurance companies usually recredential every two years. USB&C has developed an extensive database that will ensure that all forms and licenses are current.

Contract Review

Managed Care contracts that were profitable two years ago may not be viable today. Rising personnel and supply costs cut into profit margins that have become increasingly smaller as reimbursement rates shrink.

USB&C has designed a “Contract Review Matrix” that can be tailored to your particular needs. The information obtained from the matrix is used to highlight areas that need renegotiation. It can also be used to point out operational areas that need to increase efficiency.
